How to control image captions and default sizes

  • I can’t find where to control captions under images in either posts or pages. I would like magazine style captions with text under the image in a slightly smaller size than paragraph style. Also, I have a consistent size for these images. I know I can control this on an individual image basis, but is there a default setting?

    Hi,

    Can you tell me more about it? What do you want to change?
    And can you show me your site url and tell me all the section you want to change on your site?

    How can I send you a couple of screen grabs? That would be easiest. Site is still in dev, password protected.

    You can upload it to this site: http://prnt.sc/
    And put the link here.

    Here it is. http://prnt.sc/dt12d1 You’ll see a test caption over a shaded box. I would like a simple text caption under the image, not on top of and nothing on the image.

    Hi,

    To do that, please add more this code to Customize > Custom CSS:

    .wp-caption p.wp-caption-text{ position: static; background: none; color: #888; padding: 0; margin-top: 10px; }
    .wp-caption:hover p.wp-caption-text{ transform: none; -webkit-transform: none; opacity: 1; }
